Reframed Front Door (WorkDate: 2005-10-17, WebpageDate: 2006-02-25)

After we replaced the entry way floor, the next job was to reframe the door. The main reason the entry way floor was 4" lower was because we needed to lower the door 4" too as you'll see in a moment. Below are pictures of the reframed door from inside and outside:

The reason for lowering the door was to solve the problem if it cutting through the roof! We rather like the idea of having drywall and insulation everywhere and that just wasn't happening with the door where it was. As you can see, lowering the door solved the problem.
